Inclement Weather Policy
Spectrum Medical Group will make its own determination on canceling scheduled provider on-site coverage due to inclement weather. This policy gives primary consideration to the safety of the physician. Criteria that may be considered in making such determinations include: local school system cancellations, condition of area roads, and probability of high patient cancellation rates due to travel barriers and forecast of coming weather.
Notification
All attempts to notify the off-site location in advance will be exercised. Spectrum Medical Group provider and/or staff will contact the hospital to advice of the physician cancellation upon forecasted hazardous weather conditions, winter weather advisory warnings or announcements of school cancelations in or around the hospital service district.
Remote Coverage
Spectrum Medical Group will read studies remotely.
